Counselling for Anxiety in Crewe and Nantwich or Online

I can help if you are looking for counselling for anxiety in Crewe and Nantwich or online. Anxiety is a debilitating condition that can literally cripple us and make our lives smaller and smaller. It seems to feed itself when we get anxious about something and then an event happens that proves we were right to be anxious, thus making us even more anxious.

It also feeds depression. Because we live in fear and worry, with our lives feeling smaller and bad things happening, life feels like a struggle. Day after day after day with no end in sight.

I understand this, I’ve been there. And it’s no way to live.

How Counselling for Anxiety Can Help

Whatever form the anxiety takes, whether Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) or social anxiety or just a general worried feeling, the starting point is awareness and then being able to let it out. This is where counselling for anxiety can help. It gives you the opportunity to talk it through with someone who understands it and doesn’t judge, then we can look at ways of easing it. You don’t need to work out how to ease it, that’s what I help with. Once we know more about it, we can find the most effective way of dealing with it.

I can also bring a range of techniques to assist with it. For example, using and Learning mindfulness helps you see when it’s arising and the causes of it so that you can work with it more effectively. Or, if caused by the way you think, we can look at Changing Behaviour and Thinking Patterns perhaps using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches (CBT or even Solution-Focused Brief Therapy for specific things. But you don’t need to work out what you need, that’s what I’m here for.

Changing Behaviour & Thinking Patterns

If you’re stuck in a rut of unhelpful behaviour and thinking patters, CBT and solution-focused brief therapy can help. You don’t have to identify the causes, but you can find ways to help you think and feel better.

Neuroaffirmative Therapy

Neuroaffirming therapy and counselling means accepting how people are without trying to change them. It is particularly useful with neurodiversity where people are often diagnosed and ‘treated’. Learn how to celebrate who you are and live from it.

Using and Learning Mindfulness

Mindfulness, or becoming more aware, is an essential skill for counselling, therapy and coaching. I can help you learn how to use and apply it, or help you find ways to use it more effectively.

My Journey of Finding Peace

I’ve always been drawn towards writing and journalling and found it a big help in my own journey. I’ve written a book about my experiences but it also contains guidance on ways to live and thinking patterns. Creating it has helped me and reading it may also help you too.
