Choosing a Mindfulness Teacher

If you want to know more about using and learning mindfulness, choosing the right teacher is vital. It really comes down to how well you can work together and whether there is a connection. This site will hopefully help you establish if I might be the right person to help you.

Using and Learning Mindfulness

Wherever your interest in using and learning mindfulness comes from, I can help. Mindfulness can assist with any aspect of life or whatever you are trying to achieve.

If you are working with a therapist, mindfulness will help you know, see and feel what is really going on with you and those around you, so that the therapy can be more effective.

If you’re working towards a goal or being coached, mindfulness helps you relate more to the present moment. You can see how actions will lead to consequences, thus know the actions to take to get closer to your goal.

Mindfulness is about becoming more aware. More aware of what we’re thinking, feeling, seeing and hearing as well as our actions and reactions. The more aware we are, the better our decisions and responses will be. We make better decisions for the longer-term, and respond in more helpful, useful ways. Mindfulness is often taught via an 8-week course but I can take a more flexible approach and build it round you.

My mindfulness teacher training was undertaken through Mindfulness Now but I also have an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Keele University so can blend together the right approach for you.

I’ve explained a little bit more about myself and my approach in the video, or alternatively view my Personal Approach page.

My Approach

How I Can Help you Use and Learn Mindfulness

Mindfulness can help with weight management, pain control and reduction, anxiety, undiagnosed illnesses and ailments, spiritual development and understanding neurodiversity. It can help with seeing where our distress may be coming from or barriers we may be experiencing in moving towards something.

My pricing structure is based around £40 per hour but I can also be flexible here too. I work online with individuals using Zoom or a group if you want to join with friends or colleagues.

Approach to Mindfulness

Although mindfulness meditation is conventionally taught via an 8-week programme with a 2-3 hour class per week, I am flexible. I’m comfortable with one or two initial training sessions for however long you have available, or building a bespoke programme for particular requirements.

Personal Development

As well as a person-centred counsellor and mindfulness meditation teacher, I also provide coaching and mentoring to help you move towards personal goals. Personal development is not always about solving problems and coping with difficulties, it’s about building a more satisfying life.

Corporate Wellbeing & Mindfulness

Mindfulness training is part of my corporate services as it can help owners, managers and employees relate better to each other and understand how actions can lead to different consequences. You can read more about my corporate services at Corporate Wellbeing and Development.

My Journey of Finding Peace

I’ve always been drawn towards writing and journalling and found it a big help in my own journey. I’ve written a book about my experiences but it also contains guidance on ways to live and thinking patterns. Creating it has helped me and reading it may also help you too.
