Finding Peace
Many of us encounter a feeling of dissatisfaction at some point in our lives, especially by the time we reach middle-age. We look at what we’ve achieved (or not) and think; ‘is this it?’ Or we might be empty-nesters with the children having left home and retirement, ill-health or redundancy looming. We might feel drained by the challenges of life or frustrated and depressed. This is when many of us start to look for new interests, or investigate therapy or religion or spirituality or ‘healing’.
Finding Peace was created when I found myself in this situation. I looked at lots of things to find the answer but none of them did – but many of them gave parts of it. It was like a jigsaw, with each providing pieces. Finding Peace investigates many aspects of the journey I went through (and you may be too) and shows how these jigsaw pieces can provide an answer when taken together and assembled in a way that works for us. It also investigates the thinking patterns many of us have, the things we feel are ‘normal’ but that are instead making our lives harder.
Creating Finding Peace helped me by showing the different pieces of my jigsaw and how they could fit together. Maybe it can help and guide you too as part of your journey.
